Discounts Tab Screen

Use this screen to create, change, or delete pre-tax and charge category discounts. To change the rate or amount of a pretax discount or for a charge category in a particular (not locked) estimate, select the estimate from the Estimate droplist, then highlight the category, and enter the new discount rate.

Description of fields on the screen

Field Label	Description
Rate Table	The rate table name is displayed in this field. This field cannot be edited.
Estimate	This droplist lists the estimates in the workfile currently selected. This list is displayed only if you enter the Rates tab through a workfile. Select the estimate you want to work with.
Category Discounts pane	This lists the labor, parts, materials, and miscellaneous charge categories and their associated discounts.
Category	This field is the category type and description. This field cannot be edited.
Rate %	Enter the discount rate percentage value in this field for each charge category.
Pre Tax Discounts pane	To change the rate or amount of a pretax discount for a (not locked) estimate, select the estimate from the Estimate droplist,and then enter the rate percentage or amount of the estimate pre tax discount.
Rate %	Enter the estimate pre-tax discount rate in this field.
Amount $	Enter the estimate pre-tax discount amount.
